Jawahar Deer Park, also known as Shamirpet Deer Park, is a popular wildlife sanctuary located near Shamirpet Lake in Medchal–Malkajgiri district, around 24 km from Hyderabad. Spread over nearly 54 acres, it is home to over 100 spotted deer and blackbuck, offering visitors a chance to observe these graceful animals in their natural habitat. The park also shelters peafowl, wild boar, civet cats, porcupines, turtles, and various bird and reptile species, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts. Managed by the Telangana Forest Department since 1980, it features nature trails, a watchtower for animal sightings, and picnic areas. The rocky landscape also attracts trekkers and photographers. The park is open to the public daily (except Mondays) from 9 AM to 5 PM, with a small entry fee. Jawahar Deer Park is an ideal destination for families seeking a peaceful and educational outing close to the city.

Dakshin Badrinath, also known as Badrivishal Dham, is a beautiful temple located at Banda Mailaram in Medchal–Malkajgiri district, about 40 km from Hyderabad. This temple is a replica of the famous Badrinath shrine in Uttarakhand and was constructed by the Uttarakhand Kalyankari Sanstha between 2017 and 2023. The temple stands 50 feet tall and covers around 6,750 square feet. The ground floor houses a spacious hall that can accommodate up to 350 people, while the sanctum on the first floor enshrines Lord Badrinath along with idols of Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesh, Nar-Narayan, Kuber, Balarama, Narada, and Garuda. A special feature of this temple is the "Akhand Jyothi" (eternal flame) brought from the original Badrinath shrine. Unlike its Himalayan counterpart, Dakshin Badrinath is open to devotees throughout the year. The temple offers peaceful surroundings, traditional rituals, and basic facilities, making it a sacred destination for spiritual seekers.

Built in 1968, the temple showcases traditional South Indian architecture with a striking gopuram and intricately designed mandapams. The main deity is Lord Subrahmanya, accompanied by his consorts Valli and Devasena. The temple complex also includes shrines for Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, Goddess Durga, and the Navagrahas.
